Welcome to the Billings Brownout
Public Service Commissioner Brad Molnar and the Billings Chamber of Commerce are asking Billings businesses, government offices and residents to voluntarily brownout the city on Dec. 6 from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Citizens are asked to conserve energy in whatever way they choose. The brownout will be the culmination of a two-week energy education campaign.
There are variety of ways to easily save energy and money. Changing from incandescent to compact fluorescent light bulbs, unplugging appliances that aren't in use and turning off computers are all easy ways to create significant savings.
Please post your thoughts on the brownout and share your energy-saving ideas.
